    Accountant / Financial Reporting

    Omicelo, LLC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accountant who will provide assistance to the company owners, controller, auditors and other company associates. The Accountant reports to the Controller and will have a wide range of accounting tasks, such as creating and supporting financial models, reconciling accounts and producing financial statements.

     

    Key Accountant Tasks:

    • Perform core accounting functions across multiple business lines, including general ledger detail work, reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable via an advanced understanding of QuickBooks.

    • Maintain highly-detailed organization of company records including maintaining and improving traditional accounting processes and operational records that tie various investment and operational lines of businesses to our accounting records. 

    • Perform intermediate and advanced level financial & operational analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel and other real estate focused technology tools.

    The Associate will also:

    • Produce financial presentation materials monthly, quarterly and annually.
    • Create financial processes and policies that are in full compliance with programmatic and funding requirements; audit financial transactions. 
    • Create real estate asset fund models for company operational needs. 
    • Engage with payroll providers related to pay and benefits
    • Evaluate financial, business process, and 3rd party vendor software; recommend and implement interfaces to maximize efficiency and to enable the creation of timely ad-hoc financial analysis

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 5+ years of experience, CPA preferred
    • Familiarity and mastery of generally accepted accounting principles

     

    Skills

    • Hands-on experience and mastery with accounting software, with QuickBooks experience required
    • Experience in real estate, construction and property management fields preferred
    • Experience with payroll and benefits administration
    • Strong verbal and written communications
    • Teaching and coaching non-finance staff in financial management
    • Creation of effective and impactful visual representations of financial information
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
    • Understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques
