    Vice President of Construction

    Omicelo, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an experienced and passionate Vice President of Construction. The Vice President will be responsible for executing projects from site preparation to building completion for residential and commercial renovation, rehabilitation and new construction.


    The Vice President of Construction will:


    • Provide vision, leadership and on the ground support for the construction teams
    • Build regional relationships across the construction industry to identify and engage a wide array of subcontractors
    • Set measurable standards of performance for each department and measuring that performance against established goals
    • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
    • Create, approve, and implement broad vision, strategy, policies, procedures, and organizational structure related to the Omicelo Construction enterprise
    • Ensure profitability for the organization and prudently use resources for the firm’s advancement
    • Manage timelines and budgets for all active projects and ensure adequate labor and materials are available for every job
    • Evaluate the performance of subordinate construction directors, managers and subcontractors
    • Possess the desire and ability to cultivate the next generation of construction professionals
    • Formulate the company’s strategic construction planning to achieve the objectives of the business plan with the aim of maximizing return and minimizing risk for the company
    • Aid in identification and negotiation of new construction and development opportunities

    Omicelo is looking for a seasoned candidate with previous experience across the construction industry. Candidates will enjoy:

    Qualifications and Experience:

    1. Bachelors degree in construction or civil engineering
    2. 10+ years with construction companies with at least three years at the managerial level
    3. Stable job history demonstrating increased levels of responsibility with construction firms
    4. S/He must be thoroughly versed in the operations of a construction company, general contracting, engineering and design-build
    5. The Vice President must display the highest level of organizational and communication skills
    6. Construction and design acumen
    7. Historical and deepening understanding of bids and cost estimation
    8. Fiscal contract management
    9. Deep understanding of zoning and permitting
    10. Demonstrated ability to maximize company profitability
    11. Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills
    12. Strong analytical skills
    13. Ability to comfortably communicate, both verbally and in written correspondence, to senior executives, project team members, consultants, and partners
